About the Scholarship
The Mattie J. Eley Nursing Scholarship was established in 1994 to honor the legacy of one of Kansas City’s most dedicated nursing leaders. The scholarship supports students pursuing nursing degrees at every level.
Funded entirely through donations and fundraising events, the scholarship provides financial assistance to help students focus on their education and clinical training.
Applications open annually. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, community involvement, and demonstrated commitment to nursing.

We support nursing students at every stage of their education.
Licensed Practical Nursing
Students enrolled in an accredited LPN program.
Registered Nursing
Students pursuing an ADN or BSN degree.
Master's in Nursing
Graduate students in MSN or nurse practitioner programs.
Doctoral Studies
Students pursuing DNP or Ph.D. in nursing.
Every Scholarship Strengthens Healthcare
